Sorry for the all the downtime folks , I've been out of my routine for the last couple of weeks because of the new semester just starting. But the transition period, that wacky time when I'm not sure when I can eat without referring to my class schedule and vary between too much and too little sleep, is just about over. So expect the weekly updates to start again this Friday and continue to be posted every Friday after that.
In the meantime I've been trying to figure out what new anime I should be looking forward to in 2008. I know I'll definitely be picking up Rebuild of Evangelion whenever that hits, if only to see what changes have been made, but beyond that I'm drawing a blank. So what shows are you guys anticipating this year?

What am I anticipating?
In fansub terms, I'm dripping with mechanticipation for season II of Code Geass and for Macross Frontier.
In retail DVD terms, this spring Crest of the Stars and Gundam SEED are getting boxset releases in the UK (yes, lowbrow tastes). Looks like I'll have to save up for them by fasting for a month or so.
Hrm... well lets see as far as new stuff, I'm planning on buying Innocent Venus, GTO (finally), and the rest of Beck. Oh yeah, Gurrenn Lagann, but everyone's already said their piece on that one.
Crest of the Stars would be a good review, I actually already own that one and it's a pretty fun view.
I'm generally a fan of sci-fi stuff and haven't watched Crest of the Stars yet so I'll definitely check it out. Doesn't it have three or four spin-off series' as well?
Crest has a trilogy of direct sequels (Banner of the Stars I, II & III, the first two of which are proper continuations and the third of which is an inconsequential OVA) plus a spin off, Birth.
They're all good fun. /m/ considers the series to be honourary mecha (along with Legend of the Galactic Heroes).
